October2010campfamily019CUB WEEKENDS

Camp Rockefeller is the perfect place for Cub Scouts and their families to "get away" and get outdoors for a full day of Cub Scout programs and an optional night of tent camping. The Quapaw Area Council regularly hosts Cub Camping Weekends in the fall and spring at Camp Rockefeller. These events include Cub/Dad, Mom & Me, Cub Family, and Wobbles Weekends.

Cub Camping Weekends are a great opportunity for Cub Scouts and their families to camp in a safe location, make friends with hundreds of other Scouting families, earn achievements, learn new skills, and have fun. The Quapaw Area Council Camping Committee puts an incredible amount of time into providing high-quality camping opportunities. A tremendous amount of time is spent preparing the Cub Camping program, training the staff, purchasing supplies, preparing the menu, and arranging camp for our guests arrival. At the same time the camping committee is adamant that we keep the registration fees at a minimum. All participants receive a fantastic program at rock-bottom prices!

Cub Weekend Campers will have many items and resources provided for them. Resources provided include tents, cots, meals, water, most program materials, patch, and wristbands. There are, however, numerous items which participants will need to bring. These items include bedding, personal care items, camp chairs, flashlights, appropriate clothing, rain gear, comfortable shoes (NO open-toed shoes), and bug spray.

Cub Camping Weekends are a great opportunity for you and your family to spend quality time with one another. There is no other event that can provide you with so much fun and adventure at so little price.
